Lakemont Park
Altoona, Pennsylvania, USA

Founded in 1894, Lakemont Park has provided over a century of fun in a traditional setting. In 1986, the Boyer Candy Company transformed it into the Boyertown USA theme park — by cutting down lots of trees and charging for admission. Not surprisingly, business suffered. Two years later, the park was sold to new owners and rechristened with its original name.
